SEO and search visibility
Most sites that do not rank do not have a content problem. They have pages Google never indexed, or a technical fault nobody has looked at since launch.
Search visibility is three things stacked: the page has to be indexed, it has to answer a query people actually type, and the result has to earn the click. Break any one and the work above it is wasted. That is why we start with an audit rather than a content calendar — there is no point writing for a site whose service pages were never indexed in the first place.
The technical layer is unglamorous and it is where most South African business sites fail: pages returning 404s that are still indexed, canonicals pointing at redirects, a Google Business Profile that contradicts the site, sitemaps listing URLs that do not exist. Fixing those is usually faster and cheaper than producing more content, and it has to happen first.
Above that sits intent. A query like "automation" is a research query; "invoice automation South Africa" is a buying query. Ranking third for the second is worth more than ranking first for the first. We map the queries to the pages that should answer them, then write for the people asking, not for a keyword counter.
What we will not do: promise a position, sell link packages, or forecast traffic we cannot defend. Rankings move for reasons outside anyone’s control — Google updates, competitors, changes in what people search for. We report impressions, clicks and enquiries from Search Console, and we tell you what is still unknown.
Timelines are honest: technical fixes can land within weeks, content and authority take three to six months before the numbers mean anything. If someone promises you page one in 30 days, they are either buying links or guessing.
Signs this is worth fixing
- Service pages that were never indexed, so they cannot rank at all
- Traffic only from brand searches, meaning no new buyers find you
- A Google Business Profile with the wrong category, hours or service area
- Old URLs still indexed as 404s, leaking what little authority exists
- Content written for keywords rather than for the question behind them
- No idea which pages produce enquiries, only which produce visits
What we automate
Technical audit
A crawl of every page for indexing, canonical, status-code, duplicate and rendering faults, ranked by what actually blocks ranking rather than by count.
Indexation repair
Getting pages Google has missed into the index: internal links that mean something, a sitemap that is true, and Search Console requests where they help.
Keyword and intent mapping
Which queries matter, what they are worth, and which page should own each one. Includes the queries we decide not to chase, and why.
Content for the buyer, not the crawler
Pages that answer the question the search was really asking, with the specifics a buyer needs: what it costs, how long it takes, what it will not do.
Local search
Google Business Profile, service areas, categories and reviews, so the map result and the site agree with each other.
Measurement
Search Console and analytics joined up, so a rise in impressions can be traced to a page and a page traced to enquiries rather than sessions.
How it works
- 01
Free visibility check
We look at indexation, the Google Business Profile and the pages that already get impressions, then tell you whether there is work worth doing.
- 02
Audit and priorities
A ranked list of what is broken and what is missing, with effort and expected effect. No 200-item PDF; the shortlist is the deliverable.
- 03
Fix, then build
Technical faults first, because they make everything else work. Then the pages worth building, in the order that earns visibility soonest.
- 04
Report and adjust
Monthly Search Console numbers — impressions, clicks, position — with what moved, what did not, and what we are changing next.
What you get
- A crawl report with faults ranked by effect
- A list of the pages currently indexed, and the ones that are not
- A keyword map from query to page
- Fixes applied, or specified for your developer
- A Google Business Profile that matches the site
- A monthly report in impressions, clicks and enquiries
Systems we work with
Google Search Console and GA4 are the measurements. We crawl with our own tooling and cross-check demand with paid keyword data, so a volume is never guessed.
Questions people ask
Do you guarantee first-page rankings?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Positions depend on Google, your competitors and what people search for. What we can commit to is the work: indexed pages, honest reporting, and no tactics that put the domain at risk.
How long before we see anything?
Technical fixes can show within weeks. Content and local search typically take three to six months before the numbers are meaningful. Search is a compounding channel, not a switch.
Can you fix our site if someone else built it?
Yes. We audit first and tell you what is worth fixing versus rebuilding. If the site is sound underneath, fixing is cheaper. If it is not, we will say so before quoting.
What about AI search, ChatGPT and Google AI answers?
Those answers draw on pages and sources that are already visible in search. The same groundwork — indexable pages, clear answers, a consistent business profile — is what makes a brand mentionable. We measure AI citations alongside normal rankings where it is available.
